Annual Spring Cleanup Day

The annual community-wide Spring Cleanup Day is Saturday, April 29th from 9 – 11 am. Each year a group of Carriage Hills residents walks the open space area around Scott Ponds to pick up trash. This year I’m planning to join their project and I’m wondering if anyone would like to volunteer along with me. If we have several new volunteers we could include parts of Carriage Drive and Fish Creek Road as well as the area around the ponds. At this point I’m only looking for those who are tentatively interested. It’s still 2 weeks away and I know plans can change at this busy time of year. Please send a message to carriagehillspoa@gmail.com. I will send out details when we get closer to the date. Thanks in advance for your interest in this project! Information about Spring Cleanup Day can be found here.

GID 4 Road Maintenance Underway

GID 4 road maintenance has begun. A road grader and sprayer truck were working on Ponderosa Avenue this morning (7/29/16). If you want more information on the status of the work contact the GID 4 Board. See GID 4 for the Board’s contact information.

Annual Meeting

The Carriage Hills POA annual meeting was held July 14, 2016 in the Masonic Lodge, 1820 S Saint Vrain Ave., Estes Park, CO. The agenda included guest speakers on GID4 (roads update),  code compliance, Fish Creek road update, Scott Ponds update, and invasive weeds. For additional information see the meeting minutes.

Mountain Lion Sightings

Several residents have sighted a mountain lion in Carriage Hills in the past few weeks. It may be the same one since mountain lions have a large range. It’s wise to keep close watch on children and pets outside your home. If you have a vacation rental be sure to inform your guests as well. Here is a Mountain Lion picture taken by a Carriage Hills resident’s critter camera in April.
